Testing & Assessment Overview

Psychological and psycho-educational testing is provided by Teri Solochek, Ph.D.

Dr. Solochek is a Licensed Psychologist (PSY11869) with over 30 years of experience in testing children, adolescents, and young adults.

Through testing, we can better understand how a child learns and process information, identify learning issues, and diagnose mental health problems. This information can then be used in school selection, as well as in determining academic and emotional accommodations and supports the youngster may require.

What to Expect

There is often anxiety prior to the testing process as the experience is often unlike any the child has had before. Testing is not like tests in school. It is primarily interactive with the examiner. There are game-like puzzles and problem-solving tasks, answering questions, memory tasks, and academics.

Youngsters are welcome to come in comfortable clothing. We have snacks available!
